Hours of fighting crowds, waiting in long checkout lines, and debating what gifts to buy for your friends and family for the holidays can be exhausting. I don’t know about you, but after the end of a long holiday shopping spree, strutting around the mall for hours, I reward myself with a treat of my own: good food.
Charlotte is home to several shopping destinations, including SouthPark Mall. From jewelry to apparel to sporting goods, SouthPark Mall is known as Carolina’s premier shopping destination. In other words, it is your one-stop-shop for all things Christmas shopping. The best part? It is surrounded by popular places to eat, including Legion Brewing SouthPark.

Legion Brewing holds the crown as SouthPark’s first brewery and is applauded for its seasonal and classic craft beers, handcrafted cocktails, wines by the glass, delicious eats, and beautiful atmosphere, especially during the holiday season.
Now, don’t put this brewery in a box. Yes, Legion Brewing is, in fact, a brewery that sells a variety of craft beer. However, the food is something you don’t want to miss. Think classic brewery food, take it up about 20 notches, and thrown in a few wild cards, like bao buns and pierogis.
To help you decide what to order, we narrowed down a few popular menu items when you want to treat yourself after holiday shopping.
The Pre-Game
Before the main attraction, we recommend grabbing a starter or five. Here are our recommendations:
Caramelized Short Rib Sliders
These sliders are not your average. Instead, they are made with Korean BBQ short rib, topped with kimchi slaw and Monterey Jack cheese, and finished with a sesame dressing.

Pork Belly Bao Buns
Bao buns at a brewery? You heard right. The Pork Belly Bao Buns are filled with glazed pork belly, pickled carrots, daikon, and cilantro. Two come in each order, so we recommend ordering a few.

The Veggies
We could all use more greens in our life, right? While Legion Brewing SouthPark does offer a variety of unique salads, we thought one of its bowls deserved a shout-out:
Spicy Shrimp and Ginger Scallion Noodle Bowl
This bowl is created with rice noodles and tossed in a ginger scallion dressing. Romaine, kimchi, carrots, snow peas, cucumbers, tomatoes, and fresh herbs are also added to the mix. To finish, the bowl is topped with spicy grilled shrimp and roasted peanuts.

The Main Attractions
The moment you’ve been waiting for: the entrees. Read more below to see some of our recommendations:
Pho Mi Dip
The Pho Mi Dip puts a spin on the classic French Dip. It is layered with pho braised short rib, thin-sliced flank steak, pickled carrots, daikon, cucumbers, jalapeno, hoisin mayo, and cilantro. For dipping and dunking, the Pho Mi Dip is served with a pho broth jus.

Smoked Brisket Grilled Cheese
There isn’t anything quite like a grilled cheese during winter, and Legion Brewing SouthPark’s version includes brisket. The Smoked Brisket Grilled Cheese starts with two pieces of sourdough bread and is layered with slow-cooked smoked brisket tossed in Legion BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, jack cheese, and horseradish sauce.

Pimento Cheese and Potato Pierogis
The pierogis at Legion Brewing SouthPark have a Southern twist. They are made with pimento cheese and potatoes and served with local pork carnitas, pickled red onion, and drizzled with sour cream.

The Sidekicks
To accompany your main course, there are several sides to choose from. While Legion Brewing SouthPark does not serve French fries, they have a few elevated options such as the Juicy Jay Slaw and Papas Bravas.

Final Tidbits
In addition, the brewery also offers gluten-free and vegetarian menus so everyone can find something they enjoy. Overall, we highly recommend Legion Brewing SouthPark as your post-shopping destination. There are several drink options to choose from, the service is outstanding, and the food is even better.
